Guest spots and room selections will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

To reserve your spot, a $500 deposit per person is required.

With only 14 guest spots available, we anticipate rooms will be selected in the order deposits are received.

Founding Friends pricing is being offered exclusively to our pickleball community and may increase once the trip is opened to the public.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not at all! $500 deposit via Venmo or Zelle.

    The remaining balance is due by December 2026 or at least 60 days before the retreat, giving you plenty of time to spread payments out in a way that works for you.

    For example, a private suite could be paid as:

    • Approximately $350/month, or

    • Three payments of approximately $933

    We are happy to work with you on a payment schedule.

    Credit cards are also accepted. A 3% processing fee will be added to credit card payments.

  • Deposits are non-refundable, as they are used to secure accommodations and group reservations.

    However, if you are unable to attend, your reservation may be transferred to another guest approved by the organizers.

    We understand that life happens, which is why we strongly encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance for additional peace of mind.

  • Yes. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in the event of unexpected illness, injury, travel delays, family emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.

    Travel insurance can also provide coverage for trip interruptions, baggage delays, and other travel-related issues.

    Guests are responsible for securing their own travel insurance coverage.

  • No. This is a community getaway for people who love pickleball, travel, and good company. There are no clinics, tournaments, or mandatory schedules—just plenty of opportunities to play, relax, and enjoy Costa Rica. There are also local courts nearby

  • Absolutely! The villa has its own private pickleball court, and there are additional nearby courts with open play, organized games, and lessons available for those who would like them.

  • Your stay includes:

    • 5 nights luxury accommodations

    • Daily breakfast (M-F)

    • Access to the private pickleball court

    • One included group adventure (sunset catamaran sail or waterfall excursion)

    • Plenty of time to relax, explore, and enjoy Costa Rica

  • Yes! This is intentionally designed with plenty of unscheduled time. Whether you want to play more pickleball, head to the beach, book a massage, explore Tamarindo, take a surf lesson, or simply relax by the pool, you'll have the freedom to enjoy the trip your way. And Lena can help you book excursions prior to arrival.

  • Yes! In addition to our private on-site court, there are nearby public and club courts offering open play, lessons, and additional opportunities to play throughout the week. The property is located in the Hacienda Pinilla Resort area. Access to private beaches, golf , tennis , restaurants , etc

  • Not at all. We have both couple and single occupancy options available.

  • Liberia International Airport (LIR) is the closest airport and is approximately one hour from the villa. Airfare is not included . Airport transfers are included.

  • Daily breakfast is included M-F, we provide the groceries. Snacks until 2pm. For lunches and other dinners, guests are free to explore the many excellent restaurants and beachside dining options nearby.

  • Absolutely. While pickleball is a big part of the experience, there will be plenty of opportunities for relaxation, sightseeing, beach time, shopping, spa treatments, and enjoying Costa Rica.

  • All skill levels are welcome. Whether you're newer to the game or play regularly, the focus is on fun, connection, and enjoying the experience together. There is also an open play nearby where there will be a variety of skill levels to play with or private lessons can be scheduled ahead of time.

  • Simply click the Interest Form button and let us know you're interested. Early access is currently being offered to members of our pickleball community before any remaining spaces are opened publicly.

  • Not at all. This is your vacation. Join in as much or as little as you'd like. Play pickleball all day, head off on your own adventure, relax by the pool, or simply enjoy the company of friends. There is no pressure and no required schedule.
